This installation explore on the idea of the natural phenomenon of the migration of butterflies. Our group decided to install our installation at level 3 of the ADM building. This level in the building has just underdone renovation. Rooms where section out of existing space. This sectioning made the whole level feels very rigid, constricting and serious. We hope that our installation will bring about a sense of softness, breaking away from the rigidity through the organic shape of the wings and the free flowing shape of the overall structure.

Accompanied Text:
CHAPTER 1: THE BUTTERFLY
Emerging from the cocoon, vulnerable and new to the world, I ultimately embrace change. Blooming like a stunningly colorful one of a kind creation. I am ready to venture to explore, to continue this cycle of life.

CHAPTER 2: THE FLIGHT
I fly; flying high with the wind with my incandescent wings. Cutting through the air with breathless ease. I am blown forward by the gentle breeze towards the flickering glimmer of light so distant yet so strong. And beyond time I could feel myself drawn towards it, the somber morning sun - the light drowning me in joy.

CHAPTER 3: OBSTACLE
As I neared the end of the tunnel, the light seemed so bright, so powerful, and I am about to redeem my pride. Yet I hit something I cannot see, something I do not know. I felt like giving up after multiple tries, feeling so tired, but I can’t give up after coming so far.

CHAPTER 4: SURMOUNTING
All life evolves and transcend their previous incarnations; here, I must as well, break free of this jail. As I peer beyond the veil, I sought an alternative route to surmount this obstacle. This prize beyond my view, I must flutter down the path further that is ahead of me. Inevitable, the path will lead me into green pastures, brighter light.
